Hello! Remember me? Probably not, but that's okay. :) I'm just one of the many in love with your art and happened on your website which led me here and this caught my eye since I was just sketching an old box I inherited a few days ago --- so I had to comment. Although now that I'm commenting I don't know what to say. . . . moment of silence? :) Is it your photograph? Take care, I just had to drop by and say hello since it's great to see another blogger, let alone one of my favorite artists. . .
Hi Sheri, Of course I remember you. Thanx for the kind words. Yes, that's my photo of the guitar case latch I painted yesterday. I did like how the colors came out. I love the look of age in things...timeworn, frayed, discolored, tarnished, misshaped. I just love it.
Reminds me very much of your elephant rock in another post (being nosy now). I was talking with someone the other day about mistakes and how they often enrich our art - giving it texture and character and life (like wrinkles and crows feet as we grow older). And very much like elephants and an aging guitar case latch. The colors are wonderful, it makes the lines look even deeper.
I'm an inward looking, mind altered, guitar picking, altar building, intuitive, sensualist, dreamer, painter, writer, mother, mate and all around shy being intent on changing the world by starting within and reaching out. I'm looking for you, others of my ilk, so if you feel kin to or piqued by anything here, please chime in.
